Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of SLJSAS comprises 9 members, including academic staff of the university and two external members from outside the institution.

Roles and Responsibilities

Editor-in-Chief

  • Provides overall leadership and strategic direction.
  • Makes the final decision on all submissions, based on peer review and editorial board recommendations.
  • Represents the journal in external collaborations and indexing negotiations.

Managing Editor

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the journal.
  • Coordinates communication between authors, reviewers, and the editorial board.
  • Ensures timely publication of issues.
  • Ensure the availability of published articles in the university research repository.
  • Initial screening of the manuscript for plagiarism, formatting, reference style and proofreading.

Associate Editors (Subject-Specific)

  • Handle manuscripts within their subject expertise.
  • Select suitable peer reviewers and make recommendations based on reviews.
  • Ensure the quality and relevance of accepted articles.

Editorial Board Members

  • Advise on journal policies and academic scope.
  •  Assist in peer review as needed.
  •  Promote the journal within their networks.

External Advisory Members (2 from outside the university)

  • Provide independent oversight to maintain international standards.
  • Advise on ethical and policy issues.
  • Enhance the global visibility of the journal.
